                                 Welcome to Week 9

HOMEWORK NOTE FROM THE SPORTS TEACHERS:

Last week in Health all Year 4 children were issued with a 'Live Outside the Box Passport' and a letter for parents.

Live Outside the Box is an interactive,  fun, two week challenge for students regarding how to maintain a healthy,  active lifestyle.

Students are encouraged,  with the support of their families and teachers,  to Live Outside the Box.

Over the next two weeks they will monitor and score points for :

*Eating a healthy breakfast
*Drinking water
*Eating fruit and vegetables
*Limiting the amount of 'sometimes' foods they eat
*Being active
*Spending less time in front of the TV or computer

The points are recorded in their special passport.

They need to bring their passports back in for their Health lesson on Wednesday 22nd March  for a 'half way' review and again on Wednesday 29th March when it will be fully completed and signed by parents.

Good luck and enjoy - the Sports Teachers.

                   Welcome to Week 7

    CELEBRATING CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

This year from 5-11 March 2017, all 79 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta will celebrate Catholic Schools Week (CSW).
The theme for 2017 is ‘Learning Connected’. The theme builds on a key focus for Pope Francis in the recent encyclical Laudato Si’, ‘Everything’s Connected’. This sense of connection calls for shared responsibility for the care of nature and our human relationships in a changing world.

Pope Francis is calling on all Catholic communities, including schools, to recognize these connections. Catholic Schools Week strengthens connections between all those that have a stake in our schoolsstudents staff, families, priests, parishioners and members of the wider community.
Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, Kellyville will be holding their OPEN DAY on Tuesday 7 March commencing with a Liturgy at 9.15am followed by open classrooms and a school tour for new families enrolling. The morning will conclude by 10.45am. Potential new families and those enrolling in 2018 Kindergarten are encouraged to come on that day to collect an enrolment pack.
